
New York, NY — October 21, 2025 — Jill Platner is pleased to host the New York opening of “EVERY DAY OBJECTS,” an exhibition of new light sculptures by Clare Brew, curated by Emma Gray HQ Gallery, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at 165 Crosby Street in SoHo.
Created this year, Brew’s series of minimalist neon works emerges from the very walls of the building where she and Jill Platner collaborated during the pandemic to rebuild and reimagine what would become Platner’s flagship store and studio headquarters.
Following her recent solo exhibition at Emma Gray HQ Gallery in Los Angeles, Brew continues her practice of engaging deeply with physical spaces and their histories. These new sculptures serve as luminous building blocks—raw materials of our fragile world. “EVERY DAY OBJECTS” is both a dedication to light and to the quiet act of dreaming when nothing feels certain—a meditation on the transformation that occurs through the process of making.
From an early age, Brew has been drawn to deconstruction and renewal. Her instinctive approach to form and space has been described as a series of carefully curated gestures—at once architectural and poetic.
Brew’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at London’s V&A Museum and the Royal Institute of British Architects. Her permanent public installations include A13 Artscape and P-Arts Sheffield in the UK, and she was awarded a grant from the London Arts Board for her illuminated installation beneath the Westway A40 London.
